The crazy doctor keeps asking that he come back in in 2 weeks and have another test done. That the doctor might have missed something in the slides. Can anyone really tell me what is going on? We want to have more kids just not for a few years. I don't want to have to go on birth control and we don't like to use condoms, but he wants to be able to come inside me without the risk of me getting pregnant. I saw the Dr. and he explained it was due to scar tissue. A little over a year later I started experiencing a loss of sex drive. Although I never experienced anything like this before I figured it was due to a lack of sleep, working out too hard, etc. Eventually my libido came to a halt altogether. Leading up to this point I started doing research, developing ideas and possible outcomes to my situation. Throughout my findings the only single factor that played a role with my libido was my vasectomy, and prior to having one I had no problems at all. Quite frankly I was the type of guy that had to rub one out at least 3x a day during my apex. Now I'm barely managing 2 3 a week, forcefully.With the countless articles, commentary and books stating of the horrible pain, loss of libido and castration with no cure in sight, I sought my only logical idea, get a reversal done. Prior to my reversal, I got a testosterone test in the event things went wrong, giving me a basis of where I am. 499 was my test score. A year after my initial experience with a loss of sex drive I got the reversal done age 24 . It has now been approximately 1 year 2 months since age 26 . The mild pain has since faded but still no return of my sex drive. I've seen the Dr. again, this time I got a full blood screening including a high metals screening. Everything came back normal. Even my testosterone has gone up 706. Most Dr. people will say it's all in your head, but I wish that was the case. I had no reason to doubt myself when this all occurred, I was " living the life" as they say. Perfectly happy at work, sex, physically and mentally stable. There were no doubts running through my mind about the procedure, if anything it was the best decision I had made. I'm interested in hearing from people with the same outcome and possible solutions cures to getting their sex life back on track. Since I have such a high testosterone level I don't qualify for hormone therapy. I'm not interested in comments about how great of an experience you've had with getting a vasectomy nor am I open to anyone telling me it is in my head. Please respect my wishes and only comment if you have dealt with the same scenario and have something positive to contribute. I want to make it clear that I had not spoken with anyone prior to getting a reversal done. I was very insecure about telling anyone. The decision towards getting a reversal done to try and cure my problem was actually questionable by the Dr. He actually said that he could perform the surgery but it wasn't guaranteed I would feel normal again. Gave me advice to go perform some blood work and see a therapist first. I however, knew it was caused by the vasectomy and thus went through with it anyway. After I got the surgery I never confirmed with any lab that I was able to produce sperm again. In other words I never went to check because I was worried that if the test came back negative, the surgery was failure, and I would feel as if I would never get back to normal, Hence a psychological problem would develop.
