How soon can I expect to conceive after my husband vasectomy reversal?
I know it's impossible to pinpoint an exact time, but I was hoping for some time of estimation. Here are the stats My husband and I are both healthy, non smoking, 26 year olds. The length of time between the vasectomy and the reversal was approximately 1 year. April '10 April'11 We have already had two children Our youngest is currently 18 mo. and our son would have been 3 1 2, but passed away unexpectedly this past Jan...hence the reason for the reversal We conceived my son w in 6 mo. of trying and my daughter w in 3 mo. The doctor prescribed some type of sperm increasing medication to be taken the first month after the reversal. My husband was told to ejaculate every other day for the first month to " keep things moving" , so that is how often we have been having intercourse.Thank you for your time.
Question about Tamoxifen Citrate given to men after a vasectomy reversal...?
My husband recently had his vasectomy reversed and was given Tamoxifen Citrate which is usually given to women to treat breast cancer to " increase sperm production" by blocking the effect of estrogen. I was just curious to know if a medication such as this would increase the chance of having a boy b c it reduces estrogen and or increase the chance of having twins b c of the increased sperm production . This may or may not sound like a stupid question, but I was just curious on how this medication affects men.
Question about vasectomy reversals.?
My husband had a vasectomy reversal a little over two months ago. The original vasectomy was done for only five years. The doctor said that everything connected back really well and there was no scar tissue. The only thing that could keep it from working was sperm antibodies. We are not sure yet if any antibodies are present because we haven't went to get a semen analysis yet we are doing that on the 13th. We already have one child together and I have read before that could make our chances of having another child higher.The doctor said that we have a70 to 85 percent chance of conceiving a baby. I have already asked this question before but I was wondering if anyone on here has been through this or is going through this or know anyone who has and if it worked or not and if it did how long did it take?
TTC after vasectomy reversal...please help?
Hubby had a vasectomy reversal 3 years ago. We conceived 7 months later. We have been trying for number 2 for about 8 months, some months more than others. My OB sent him for a semen analysis and it came back low. She suggested we see a fertility specialist and have artificial insemination. I am wondering what the odds are if we just keep trying? Any words of encouragement or ideas? I don't know if he will go for the fertility specialist.

Vasectomy Reversal Low Sperm Count?
My husband had a vasectomy reversal 4 years ago. I became pregnant two months later and had a healthy baby boy. Now, three years later, we have not yet been able to conceive again. He had a semen analysis done just recently and it came back with a 0 sperm count. Any ideas why the grim outlook now after such a successful procedure? Any suggestions what to do from here?
